A Guide For Choosing Backpacking Tents
It is backpacking season once more! Now, what do you need to pack? Of course, you need to make sure that you have stashed in your bag the right clothes, shoes or sandals, gears, and your "can't live without" gadgets such as your mobile phone, camera (with extra batteries), and flashlights. And oh, you can't go wrong with some cash or credit cards, your favorite moisturizer or cosmetic item, as well as a first aid kit. And, since backpacking does not assure that you will actually have a sturdy roof to stay in during the night, you will also have to make sure that you have along a tent.
Now, here is the question: how do you choose among a roster of tent models which is the best for backpacking? Of course, first off, you have to make sure that it is sturdy enough for travel. You may want to consider the aesthetic aspect as well, and there is nothing wrong if you do.

How to Choose The Right Tents For Backpacking
To make sure that you pick or choose the right tent for your backpacking trip, you will have to consider the following factors:
1. The trip itself. Where are you going? What kind of trip will it be? Will you go to the woods, to a swimming trip, to the mountain, or to the lakeside? That said, what conditions will you be experiencing during the trip? Would you need to ward off cold or mosquitoes during the night? Or would it be nice to have a view of the clear night sky before you go to sleep? Your answers to these questions may help you choose what kind of material your tent should be, as well as its other specs, like, if it should allow for some view outside or otherwise.
2. The number of people who will go with you to the backpacking trip, or the number of people who will be sleeping with you in your tent. This will help you consider just how large your tent should be.
3. The weight of the tent. If you are ten people, a large tent may be nice, but who will carry it? Would you even be able to carry it alone, or would you be needing support? For a backpacking trip, of course it is still best to choose a tent that is lightweight. Otherwise, you just might want to split tents so people may also take turns carrying them throughout the trip.
4. How the tent is going to be set up. While it may sound cool to be looking for logs and rocks when you go on your backpacking trip just to set up the tent, reality bites - you might get too tired when you actually got there to be even looking for anything other than a place to rest. So, opt for one that's easy to set up.
